Seals have been used for countless centuries as representation of official business. Traditionally, a seal is formed when hot wax is poured onto the closure of an envelope or package. Before the wax hardens, an impression is made using an authentic insignia, which leaves a visible, distinctive mark. The intricate detail indicates to whom the contents belong, revealing the identity of the sender. A bond is then formed making it difficult to separate without noticeable tampering, thereby keeping the valuable contents safe inside until the destination has been reached. The contents inside are protected and preserved by the seal.
God’s seal upon us, His promise, is an indication we too have been protected and preserved. In Ephesians 1:13, Paul writes that if you belong to the Lord, you have been “sealed” with the Holy Spirit. For God to seal you with His Spirit means that you are God-approved! Your contents are intact and in order. He has affirmed you. He has approved you. He has purchased you, and through eternity, you will be preserved!
SEALED curriculum contains important truths, marked with a seal of authenticity that only God can place upon them. We’ve been warned that false doctrine is accumulating to destroy the faith of believers. “God’s solid foundation stands firm, with this inscription: The Lord knows those who are His…”(2 Timothy 2:19). God intently longs for us to arrive at the heavenly destination of His Presence. It’s up to us to stand firmly on His solid foundation, learn His truths, and keep the bond that holds us protected and preserved to Him: SEALED.
How to use Sealed
We are glad you have chosen the SEALED Curriculum. We are excited to partner with you in your endeavor to teach the next generation about Jesus Christ.
This portion of the curriculum is designed simply to teach your kids the stories of the Bible. In order for your kids to grow in their relationship with Christ, they must understand the word of God and learn to apply it to their lives. It only makes sense that they must first know God's word.
Here is a guide on how to use this curriculum.
First, familiarize yourself with the story of the Bible that you will be teaching.
Second, gather any materials needed for props and effects; these are important in helping your kids learn and start conversations. However, it's not a deal-breaker if you don't have them. You may even think of something even better to get your point across. Worksheets, graphics, and "Let's Remember" take-homes are included with each lesson.
Third, remember kids love to have fun and be silly, so have fun and be silly! Tell the story using funny voices or have a costume of who you are talking about and dress one of your kids in it. The more fun they have, the more they will want to come back and learn. And when they come back, that gives you one more chance to share Jesus with them.
Last but not least, pray for your kids. If God can calm the storm, he can calm a kid that just can't sit still. If he can cause a donkey to speak, he can give you the words to say that will make an eternal difference.
This curriculum will be one of the easiest and most fun curriculums you have ever used. Remember, you're just teaching them a story in a fun way so they will remember it and deepen their relationship with Christ.
